Inter CEO Beppe Marotta is not concerned about the team’s progress so far this season and plans to strengthen the squad in the upcoming January transfer window, as reported in today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.
“We are not in a situation of anxiety, we are aware that this squad has fully responded to the indications of the team and to Conte’s methods. The culture of work is fundamental, in January. We are happy as the work culture is very strong. We want to seize opportunities, but they must be better than what we already have, which is a team with players of very high quality.”
The report also details how the Nerazzurri are still thinking of signing Barcelona midfielder Arturo Vidal in January, as both the management and coach Antonio Conte appreciate the need for a stronger set of midfield options, especially considering the lack of alternatives in the squad.
Furthermore, the report highlights, the Nerazzurri are still interested in Roma captain Alessandro Florenzi, who seems further and further away from the Giallorossi’s project.
