Italian journalist Paolo Condò spoke about Inter’s goalless draw against Roma last night as well as their Champions League clash against Barcelona next week in an interview with Italian broadcaster Sky Sports Italia.
“Both teams have had a great performance, and this has not brought a fun game. Roma’s midfield was higher than Nerazzurri’s, they were dribbling and attacking. Due to Dzeko’s absence, Roma were never dangerous in the final third. When Inter arrived in the penalty area, they had opportunities to score. They have usually won games like this, Mirante made two great saves. Lautaro, who had a great duel with Mancini, missed a couple of balls.”
Condò then look ahead to next week’s vital Champions League game against the Blaugrana.
“Barcelona will play today against Mallorca, Tuesday at the San Siro, Saturday away with Real Sociedad and then El Clasico next week. Calculating that they are first, the most logical thing would be to rest some players.”
