Lautaro Martinez’s wages could be about to treble as Inter look to extend his contract as a reward for his recent form according to a report from transfer market expert Alfredo Pedulla.
The Argentine striker has scored 13 goals in 20 appearances across all competitions this season for Inter, who he is under contract with until the end of the 2022/23 season.
His recent performances have reportedly caught the eye of Barcelona and Inter are understandably keen to ensure that he does not go there and hope that a new contract will deter the interest.
As per the report, the player himself is currently happy at the Nerazzurri and there have already been meetings between his representatives and club officials to discuss a new deal.
There is currently a €111 million release clause in his current deal and it remains to be seen whether that will be entirely removed or significantly increased as part of the new deal.
