Mauro Icardi – Paris Saint Germain: Icardi drew a blank for the second game running when PSG ran out 2-0 winners over Nantes on Thursday. He did however find his scoring boots again in the Parisian club’s 3-1 win over Montpellier at the weekend. His goal against Montpellier came from his only shot of the game.

Ivan Perisic – Bayern Munich: Perisic got his eighth start over the weekend since joining the Bavarian club but could not prevent his side from falling to a 2-1 defeat to Bundesliga leaders Borussia Monchengladbach. The Croatian opened the scoring in the match shortly after the second half began with a spinning volley that had just a 0.06 xG rating.

Radja Nainggolan – Cagliari: Nainggolan made a cameo appearance off of the bench for Cagliari’s 2-1 Coppa Italia win over Sampdoria and did not contribute to either of the goals. He returned to the starting eleven for the 2-2 draw with Sassuolo at the weekend but one again could not contribute to the goals. He did however achieve a 100% success rate in his dribble attempts.

Dalbert – Fiorentina: The Brazilian defender started both of La Viola’s matches in the previous week. He played 83 minutes of the 2-0 Coppa Italia win over Cittadella. He won 50% of his duels in the match and had 50% cross accuracy. He played the full match as they lost 2-1 to Torino at the weekend and although 100% successful in his dribble attempts, he had a cross accuracy of just 18%.

Joao Mario – Lokomotiv Moscow: The Portuguese midfielder missed out on Lokomotiv Moscow’s 4-0 Russian Premier League defeat versus Arsenal Tula as he continues to recover from a fractured toe.

Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa – Flamengo: Gabigol continued his fine goal-scoring form as Flamengo battered Avai 6-1. He scored once and provided an assist also in what could well have been his farewell appearance at Flamengo’s home stadium. Fresh from thrashing Avai, Flamengo found themselves on the receiving end of a 4-0 thrashing by Gabigol’s former club Santos.

Ionut Andrei Radu – Genoa: The Romanian shot-stopper conceded twice as his Genoa side blew a 2-0 lead over Lecce to draw 2-2. The 22-year-old had an xGc of 0.78 meaning he under performed in that regard. Whilst the first goal he conceded was a nice curling effort, he could have certainly done better at the second goal.

Andrea Pinamonti – Genoa: Pinamonti was fundamental in Genoa’s 3-2 Coppa Italia success over Ascoli as he scored a brace, which included the winning goal 10 minutes before the end of the match. He was however unable to follow this performance up in the match against Lecce as he failed to put a single shot on target.

Yann Karamoh – Parma: The 21-year-old winger remains sidelined due to a ligament injury and therefore missed Parma’s 2-1 win over Serie B side Frosinone in the Coppa Italia and the 1-0 win over Sampdoria in Serie A at the weekend. These were the fourth and fifth games that he has missed due to injury.
