Matteo Politano sits at the top of Genoa’s transfer wishlist for the upcoming January transfer window according to a report in today’s print edition of Tuttosport.

The Rossoblu club believe that the Italian could bring a different dynamic to their attack. Politano has fallen down the pecking order at Inter this season under Antonio Conte and due to this he could therefore consider his future with the club come January.

He has made 13 appearances across all competitions but just two of those appearances have been starts. He has been on the pitch for a total of 299 minutes this campaign, during which he has failed to score or provide any assists for his teammates.

The report from the Turin newspaper goes on to state that if Genoa, who are now managed by former Inter midfielder Thiago Motta, fail to land Politano, they will try and sign Fabio Borini from Inter’s city rivals AC Milan instead.
