Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta is at work trying to figure out how he can bring in Tottenham Hotspur’s Christian Eriksen according to a report from FCInterNews.it.

The Danish playmaker’s contract with the north London club is due to expire at the end of the season and with him having no intention to sign a new contract, Spurs are desperate to try and offload him in the upcoming January transfer window.

Spurs want €40 million for him, a figure all interested clubs deem too high, especially given his expiring contract status. To date, the only offer to arrive has come from Manchester United who offered €20 million plus Nemanja Matic but Spurs knocked the offer back.

The 27-year-old has made 18 appearances across all competitions this season for Spurs, who he has played for since 2013.

In 1049 minutes on the field, the former Ajax player has scored two goals and provided two assists for his teammates.
