Former AC Milan player Massimo Ambrosini has shared his belief that Inter can go all the way and win the Europa League this season.
Inter were eliminated from the Champions League mid-week having lost to Barcelona and having finished third in the group, they are to drop down to the Europa League.
“Inter can win it, they have the quality there to do so,” he remarked in an interview with Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia.
“Inter always play with their foot right down on the accelerator, constantly in every game. I do not know if they will be able to keep this up both in the league and the Europa League. They seem to me to be a team that always puts in a lot of effort but it takes a lot out of the team.”
The Nerazzurri will learn their Europa League fate on Monday afternoon when the draw for the last 32 of the competition takes place at UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland. They could face the likes of Shakhtar Donestsk, Bayer Leverkusen, Getafe, Rangers or Wolfsburg.
