Fiorentina are serious about signing Matteo Politano from Inter in the January transfer window according to a report from FCInterNews.it.

Politano’s agent Davide Lippi is due to meet with La Viola officials in the coming days and he will also meet with Inter as well to discuss his client’s future with the club.

The Florence based club are however not alone in courting the former Sassuolo winger with Atalanta also understood to be interested.

As per the report, Atalanta have sounded out Politano and it is believed that Inter value the 26-year-old at €25 million but could be open to a loan with obligation to buy deal too.

Fiorentina had come in with a €22 million offer for him during the Summer but Antonio Conte wanted to keep him around to take a closer look at him.

Politano has really struggled to break into the starting eleven this term with just two of his 13 appearances to date being starts and for this reason Inter are no longer opposed to letting him go.
