Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud is close to reaching an agreement over personal terms with Inter according to a report from French news outlet L’Equipe.

Giroud has fallen down the pecking order this season at the Premier League outfit and knows if he wishes to be in the France squad for this coming Summer’s European Championship’s then he needs to be playing regularly.

It is as yet unclear what Chelsea are likely to demand for the veteran forward but with his contract due to expire at the end of the season it is unlikely to be a significant amount.

With their transfer ban also lifted ahead of schedule, the blues are more likely to be open to dealing him away given they can go out and bring in someone else.

This season the 33-year-old has made just seven appearances across all competitions for a total of 282 minutes on the park. He has scored one goal in that time.
