Inter forward Matteo Politano is one of the top names on the list of players wanted by Fiorentina in the upcoming January transfer window, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.
The report details how la Viola are forced to search for a new forward in January, due to the serious injury to French forward Franck Ribery. Whilst the Florence based club are also incredibly keen on Sassuolo talisman Domenico Berardi, the 25-year-old Italian will be hard to pry away from the Neroverdi, forcing Fiorentina to look for more realistic options, with Politano being identified as one.
So far this season the 26-year-old Italian has only made 13 appearances for the Nerazzurri, the report highlights, with his lack of usage by coach Antonio Conte suggesting that he isn’t too involved in the club’s project. Therefore, Inter may offer the player to Fiorentina on a loan deal, with a buy option attached.
