Inter are still interested in signing Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the British tabloid the Sun.

The report details how the Nerazzurri are willing to take the 33-year-old French striker off the South London club, where he is struggling to make the first team, thanks to the emergence of English starlet Tammy Abraham.

The player has only played 191 minutes all season in the Premier League, showing how little coach Frank Lampard has deployed the striker this season.

Furthermore, the South London club are looking to sign Borussia Dortmund starlet Jadon Sancho in January, the report highlights, which would push Giroud even further down the hierarchies at the club.

Therefore, Inter may be able to acquire the Frenchman in a low cost deal in January, especially considering his contract is due to expire with Chelsea next June. The Nerazzurri are looking for trustworthy back up to Romelu Lukaku.
