Inter are looking to sign Chelsea full back Marcos Alonso on loan in the upcoming January transfer window, even if the Premier League side are currently unwilling to negotiate a loan deal, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

The report details how coach Antonio Conte is keen to work with the Spaniard again, following on from their time together in South London.

However, the Blues are asking for around €30 million for his signature and are currently disinterested in letting him leave on a loan deal in January, despite his reduced role at the club. This isn’t demotivated Inter CEO Beppe Marotta and Sporting Director Piero Ausilio, however, who are still ready to continue negotiations.

Looking at the club’s midfield transfer options, the report highlights a three-way race between Rodrigo De Paul, Arturo Vidal and Dejan Kulusevski.

Whilst all three options will be difficult to acquire in the upcoming January transfer window, the Nerazzurri know the importance of adding quality to the squad and not simply acquiring short time options. Marotta is also looking at young talents for next summer’s transfer window, namely Sandro Tonali, Gaetano Castrovilli and Genk midfielder Sander Berge.
