Inter’s Spanish midfielder was understandably very happy after the first half of the Serie A match away against Former side Fiorentina when speaking to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia.

Borja Valero broke the deadlock scoring his first goal for the Nerazzurri in almost two years early on on the first half, assisted by Marcelo Brozovic.

“This was my home for a lot of time but now I am playing for Inter and have to do my best. In the second half we have to maintain possession of the ball much more and control the match.”

“Towards the end of the first half they pressed us high up the pitch and were able to create chances, starting in the middle of our end of the pitch.”
