Italian journalist Niccolò Ceccarini has suggested that Inter are looking to sign full backs due to the injury to midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah, according to a report on Italian media outlet TuttoMercatoWeb yesterday.

The report details how the Nerazzurri are now fully focused on the upcoming January transfer market, following on from their disappointing results in the Champions League group stages.

Now that Inter have failed to qualify for the knockout stages of the competition, they can better estimate the funds available to them in January.

Whilst a lot has been written about the potential transfer options for the midfield, the report continues, the Nerazzurri are also placing focus on strengthening their full back role, with the injury to Ghanaian midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah providing a cause for concern.

Therefore, Inter are looking to sign Chelsea full back Marcos Alonso, the report highlights. The Spaniard previously worked under coach Antonio Conte during the 50-year-old Italian’s time in London.
