Inter have reignited their interest in signing Nemanja Matic from Manchester United in the upcoming January transfer window according to a report from British news outlet The Telegraph.

Matic has fallen right down the pecking order at the Old Trafford club this season and Inter are said to be looking at him due to their injury-stricken midfield which is currently missing Stefano Sensi, Nicolo Barella and Roberto Gagliardini.

The Serbian international is out of contract come the end of the current season and whilst Manchester United do have an option to extend his contract by a further season, any bids that arrive in January are likely to be taken into consideration.

The 31-year-old has been limited to just six appearances across all competitions this season largely down to a groin injury but even when he has been available he has been far from first option for manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
