Inter have dropped their interest in signing Alessandro Florenzi in the upcoming January transfer window according to a report in today’s print edition of Tuttosport.

The Nerazzurri had identified the Italian defender as a possible target but the report does not explain what led them to giving up on the idea of signing him but it can be presumed that it is simply because of them liking other targets more.

Chelsea’s Marcos Alonso and Parma’s Matteo Darmian are understood to be two players that Inter are considering ahead of January.

Kwadwo Asamoah’s continued struggles with his knee has forced Inter to look to the transfer market and it remains to be seen which player Inter will end up with.

Alonso is the number one target but a move for him is entirely dependent on what Chelsea demand for him. Inter seemingly want him on loan whilst Chelsea want rid of him on a permanent basis. Darmian, at this moment, would appear to be the first alternative to the Spaniard and will be easier to sign.
