Inter midfielder Borja Valero, who scored the Nerazzurri’s opening goal in last night’s 1-1 draw in the Serie A against Fiorentina, discussed the game in an interview with Italian broadcaster InterTV after the match,

“Returning to the Franchi is always special, also because this may be the last game I play here. I don’t have a contract for next year, we’ll see what happens. We’re sorry for the two points dropped, we could have scored a second goal. We’ve been conceding in Florence for three years at the last minute.”

The 34-year-old Spaniard then touched on the Nerazzurri’s next game against Genoa, where they will be without either Lautaro Martinez or Marcelo Brozovic.

“It’s going to be a tough game. They’re going to want to win because they’re in a difficult situation, but we want to end the year with a good result. Even if it won’t be easy.”

The Nerazzurri sit second in the Serie A on same points as Juventus but having lost their head to head against the Bianconeri.
