Inter Vice-President Zanetti: “If Opportunities Arise In January We’ll Be Ready To Take Them”

Inter vice-president Javier Zanetti has shared his reaction to Inter’s draw in the Europa League round of 32 which will see them face Bulgarian outfit Ludogorets.

“Every game must be faced with humility, we hope to to get to these matches in the best conditions to go forward. In the Champions League we have achieved less than we deserved,” he told TuttoMercatoWeb.

“It [Champions League elimination] has not ruined anything, we are very happy with the path taken by Antonio Conte. We are first in the league table and we have made great strides forward. We must continue to work in this way.”

He then spoke on the number of injuries that Conte has had to deal with and the transfer market.

“It is a shame about all the injuries. We have been penalised when we needed them most, especially in the midfield but we need to look ahead. The January transfer window? Firstly we want to recover the injured players, then if some opportunities arise we will be ready to take them.”
