With Marcelo Brozovic and Lautaro Martinez both set to miss Inter’s next game with Genoa due to suspension, Inter manager Antonio Conte needs to work out who to play in their places, a report in today’s print edition of Tuttosport highlights.
The simplest solution to replace Brozovic would be to bring Stefano Sensi back in. The Italian midfielder has recently returned to training following a fairly lengthy injury lay off but bringing him back when he is not fully ready would of course come with a massive risk attached.
Sensi was called upon in Inter’s recent match away Borussia Dortmund but it proved too soon for him as it resulted in him re-doing his injury.
Lucien Agoume, who made his first team debut off the substitutes bench against Fiorentina last night, could be granted his first start. Antonio Candreva could also perhaps be used as an unorthodox central midfielder.
As for Lautaro Martinez’s replacement, it will be between Matteo Politano and Sebastiano Esposito.
