Barcelona director Pau Vilanova has shared his opinion on Inter striker Lautaro Martinez, a player that the Blaugrana have drawn heavy links to recently.
“Lautaro is a topic of conversation that concerns the technical staff but Lautaro is a great player, we have seen his qualities in our recent meetings,” he told CalcioMercato.com.
The 22-year-old striker has been in fine form this season having scored 13 goals in 22 appearances across all competitions. In 1663 minutes on the field, he has also provided three assists for his teammates and struck up a solid partnership with strike partner Romelu Lukaku.
Vilanova also spoke on the future of Ivan Rakitic with the club. The Croatian has drawn links to both Milanese clubs in recent weeks and months and Vilanova has admitted that it is no surprise that there are clubs interested.
“Rakitic? The technical staff will decide [what his future will be]. It is normal that our players always have teams interested in signing them.
