Sebastiano Esposito is the most likely player to come in and replace Lautaro Martinez against Genoa according to a report in today’s print edition of Tuttosport.
Lautaro picked up a booking in Sunday’s 1-1 draw away to Fiorentina which earned him an automatic suspension and as a result, Antonio Conte is set to call upon 17-year-old sensation Esposito to partner Romelu Lukaku in the attack.
Esposito has saw some action off of the substitutes bench in recent weeks and should he start vs the Rossoblu, it will be his first start at first team level.
The Italian youth international has moved ahead of Matteo Politano in the pecking order at the club with Politano failing to make the desired impact in his recent substitute appearances and due to him having no natural position in Conte’s 3-5-2 system.
Esposito has made nine appearances across all competitions between the first team and Primavera and has scored three goals and tallied one assist in the process.
