Inter and Atalanta remain in talks over Dejan Kulusevski ahead of the fast approaching January transfer window according to a report in today’s print edition of Milan based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

Atalanta have made it clear to Inter that they want €40 million for the 19-year-old Swedish international and the two clubs are currently trying to work out a transfer formula.

Kulusevski is currently out on loan at fellow Serie A club Parma, who will have to agree to cut his loan deal with them short. The fact that Parma are doing well in the league at the moment means it is more likely that they will do this whereas that may not have been the case had they been fighting to avoid relegation.

Both Inter and Atalanta could ‘compensate’ Parma in a way by offering a player each. Inter could offer Federico Dimarco, who is of course no stranger to the Ducali having spent last season on loan with them. Atalanta could meanwhile offer young striker Musa Barrow.
