Inter Haven’t Held Any Contract Renewal Talks With Borja Valero Yet

Inter are yet to hold any form of contract renewal talks with Borja Valero or his representatives according to a report in today’s print edition of Tuttosport.

The 34-year-old Spaniard has come into the team out of necessity in recent weeks having previously been marginalised and is repaying the faith shown in him with several decent performances.

His contract with the Nerazzurri is due to expire at the end of the season and between now and then he will celebrate his 35th birthday.

As per the report, the former Villarreal central midfielder has no plans on retiring come the end of the season therefore meaning that if Inter do not offer him fresh terms he will carry on the twilight years of his career elsewhere.

This season Valero has made seven appearances across all competitions. In 365 minutes on the field, he has contributed one goal with that goal coming against former employers Fiorentina this past weekend as the sides played out a 1-1 draw.
