Inter manager Antonio Conte addressed those in attendance at tonight’s annual Inter Christmas dinner celebrations involving all the staff at the club.

“I want to pass on season’s greetings to you all and take this opportunity to thank everybody who is part of the Inter family,” he began his speech, as quoted by the official club website.

“First of all, I’d like to thank the players for what they give on a daily basis, my staff, the people who work at the Suning Training Centre and those who we don’t see every day in our offices but who help us continuously.

“This is my first year at Inter and first and foremost I want to thank the President and the Club because they’ve given me this opportunity. My wish is to leave my mark, and passion, sacrifice and sweat are required to achieve this.

“We have a duty to make Inter better every day and there’s only one way to do this: to improve, to set ourselves increasingly higher objectives and try to achieve them. I’d like to finish with a quote from Pelè: ‘The more difficult the victory, the greater the happiness in winning’.”
