Antonio Conte wants reunited with Marcos Alonso in the upcoming January transfer window according to a report in today’s print edition of Turin newspaper Tuttosport.
Kwadwo Asamoah is currently having bother with the cartilage in one of his knees and has missed several of Inter’s recent matches as a result.
Due to this, Inter are looking toward the transfer market for a fix and Conte’s desired addition is the 28-year-old Spaniard, who is currently at Chelsea.
Alonso has fallen down the pecking order at the Premier League club this season and that had led to increased speculation that a January move elsewhere could be on the cards for him.
If Inter are unable to agree terms with Chelsea, they will turn to their plan B, who is Parma defender Matteo Darmian. As per this report, and many others in the media, Inter already have a deal in place with the Ducali over the former Manchester United man who is capable of playing across the entire backline.
