Antonio Conte could ditch 3-5-2 for 3-4-3 for this weekend’s final Serie A match before the winter break at home to Genoa according to a report in today’s print edition of Corriere dello Sport.

The former Italian national team manager is dealing with a full blown crisis in his midfield with several players out on the sidelines injured whilst Marcelo Brozovic is also currently suspended.

Stefano Sensi and Roberto Gagliardini have missed the past few weeks through injury but due to the fact Matias Vecino is now the only fit and available first team midfielder, they may need to be brought back early, despite not being entirely ready to return, even if only to sit on the bench.

Central defender Milan Skriniar may need to be played in the centre of the park. The Slovakian is no stranger to playing in midfield having played there regularly for the national team.

Alternatively, 17-year-old midfielder Lucien Agoume, who made his Inter debut in Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Fiorentina, may be given his first start.
