Domenico Crisicito will be at the disposal of manager Thiago Motta for Genoa’s match away to Inter this weekend according to a report from CalcioMercato.com.

The veteran full back felt pain in his back following the Rossoblu’s 1-0 defeat in the Genoese derby against Sampdoria at the weekend and there were fears that he may have to miss out on the trip to Milan to take on league leaders Inter.

Criscito did not train at all on Monday but did make a return to training yesterday and his availability will come as a welcome boost to Motta, who is already having to do without several players, including Stefano Sturaro, due to injury.

Saturday evening’s affair at San Siro will also be the first time that Motta takes on former employers Inter since taking the job at the Grifone. Motta spent three years with the club between 2009 and 2012 and was pivotal in the Nerazzurri win the treble under Jose Mourinho.
