Inter legend Riccardo Ferri has shared his excitement about how the future looks for the Nerazzurri based on how they have performed this season under new manager Antonio Conte.

“Inter are making an important journey for themselves and I believe that so far the glass is half full. It is true that injuries have had an affect but Inter can look toward the future with great optimism,” he told Italian news outlet TuttoMercatoWeb.

“Once all of the injured players have recovered, the Nerazzurri will also be able to be competitive in the Europa League. So far it has been an amazing season for them.”

Ferri, who spent 13 years on Inter’s books between 1981 and 1994, was then asked about the upcoming January transfer window.

“It has been known since the beginning of the season that reinforcements would be brought in in January. The management are attentive and is composed of competent people.”
