Inter have not given up on the idea of signing Arturo Vidal but need him and his agent to help them out according to a report in today’s print edition of Tuttosport.

Vidal has been identified as a player that could be brought in to strengthen Inter’s midfield department but signing him at the moment looks rather difficult.

Inter want to take the 32-year-old Chilean on loan, possibly with an option to buy attached, whilst Barcelona only want a permanent sale which would make them capital gain.

After El Clasico, Inter need both Vidal and his agent Fernando Felicevich to push things. Vidal has already shared his discontent regarding his current situation in public and doing so could help things come along. Felicevich will meanwhile be tasked with trying to get Barcelona to drop their demands.

The main alternative is Udinese’s Rodrigo de Paul whilst Dejan Kulusevski is another midfielder Inter have taken an interest in too.

The report from the Turin newspaper goes on to state that Inter have postponed their hunt for a new striker who could act as deputy to Romelu Lukaku. This is because of Sebastiano Esposito’s emergence in recent weeks.
