Inter manager Antonio Conte’s trusted former assistant manager Angelo Alessio has been relieved of his duties as manager of Scottish Premiership side Kilmarnock.

Alessio was somewhat surprisingly appointed by the Ayrshire club this past Summer as he filled the spot which had been vacated by the highly-popular Steve Clarke who took on the Scotland national team job.

The 54-year-old, who was Conte’s right hand man for eight years, was sacked following a poor run of form which saw them win just one of their last eight games.

With Alessio now out of work, it now remains to be seen whether Conte will look to reunite with him.
