Paris Saint Germain are happy with loanee Mauro Icardi, who will ultimately have the final say on where his future lies according to a report in today’s print edition of Corriere dello Sport.
The Argentine striker departed Inter on a season long loan to the Ligue 1 outfit, who have an option to turn his stay permanent with them for a sum of €70 million.
The 26-year-old has already agreed personal terms with the Parisian club but has a clause which permits him to veto PSG’s decision to sign him permanently if they take up their option.
Enacting the clause he has would mean he would return to Inter, where he is far from welcome and not in the club’s project after relations completely broke down last season due to a lot of off-field controversy.
The report goes on to say that Icardi will only likely utilise the clause if the likes of Real Madrid or Barcelona show an interest in signing him whilst a move to Juventus cannot be ruled out either.
