In today’s print edition, Corriere dello Sport have taken a look at the three teams currently in the race to win the Serie A title in Inter, Juventus and Lazio.
Antonio Conte’s Inter currently occupy top spot in the table on goal difference over their arch-rivals Juventus and give the impression that they are already at their best. The January transfer market could help flesh out the squad that has been decimated by injuries and manager Antonio Conte is likely to be very demanding of club management to bring in reinforcements.
Juventus as they have always done for the past eight years are fighting for the Scudetto. Each year it is said that the Bianconeri club’s pursuit for domestic success will suffer due to them putting so much into trying to win Champions League but if anything the opposite occurs and they seem more than capable of competing on multiple fronts.
As for Lazio, who are currently in third place, three points behind both Inter and Juventus, they are able to focus solely on Serie A following their elimination from the Europa League. Unlike Inter and Juventus, who will have to play games every three days some weeks, Lazio will play once a week and this will therefore allow their stars to recover in plenty time for next games.
