Sebastiano Esposito is highly likely to make his first start for the Inter first team in this weekend’s Serie A match at home to Genoa according to a report in today’s print edition of Corriere dello Sport.

With Alexis Sanchez still sidelined due to an ankle injury and Lautaro Martinez set to serve a suspension after picking up too many yellow cards, it is now down to the 17-year-old sensation to partner Inter’s club record transfer signing Romelu Lukaku in the attack.

Esposito has seen some action this season at first team level with him having made six appearances as a substitute. Although unable to score or provide any assists, the youngster has impressed many with his performances.

The current alternative to Esposito starting against 19th placed Genoa, is Matteo Politano. The 26-year-old is not naturally a striker but is capable of playing there and if he is given the nod to start, it will be just the third time this season.
