Inter have made recent contact with Edinson Cavani with regard to the possibility of joining them on a free transfer according to a report from PassioneInter.com.

Prior to completing the club record transfer signing of Romelu Lukaku, Inter had shown an interest in signing the Uruguayan striker, whose current contract with Paris Saint Germain is due to expire at the end of this season.

Cavani considers his time in the French capital to be over and he is on the lookout for his next employers and as per this report, it could well be Inter.

The report does however stress that for the time being, nothing is concrete and it would simply appear that he is nothing more than an idea at the moment for the Nerazzurri club, who have previous for taking full advantage of the free agent market in recent seasons having signed Stefan de Vrij, Kwadwo Asamoah and most recently Diego Godin.
