Inter will not be able to make wholesale changes to their Europa League squad list compared to their Champions League squad list according to a report in today’s print edition of Tuttosport.

UEFA regulations require teams to have four players trained by the club in the squad. Inter currently only have two players in the squad in Cristiano Biraghi and Federico Dimarco and as a result, they need to leave two slots free meaning they can have a maximum squad size of 23.

If Dimarco, who has drawn links to several clubs ahead of the January transfer window, is to leave, Inter will only be able to register 22 players.

Inter are understood to be plotting moves for several players as they look to strengthen the team for the second half of this season and Conte is likely to be faced with some difficult decisions.

The former Italian national team manager will have to ditch some players who may have played for Inter in the Champions League in order to make way for some new additions.
