Arturo Vidal will be given a few more days off over Christmas than his Barcelona teammates according to a report from broadcaster ESPN.
The Chilean international midfielder recently stormed out of training amid intense speculation linking him with a January transfer window move to Inter although he did train as normal with teammates today following last night’s goalless El Clasico with arch rivals Real Madrid.
The Barcelona team are scheduled to return ahead of the January 4 fixture with city rivals Espanyol on December 29 whilst Vidal is not to return until January 2.
Vidal is seemingly one of Inter’s number one transfer targets as Inter management look to satisfy manager Antonio Conte’s demands for a new midfielder.
The 32-year-old has fallen out of favour this season and has found himself starting matches less frequently than he has been used to and he is seemingly keen to move on to pastures new where more regular playing time is guaranteed.
