Toby Alderweireld has extended his contract with Tottenham Hotspur through to the end of the 2022/23 season, the north London club have announced today.
The Belgian central defender’s contract was due to expire at the end of the season and this led to several clubs taking a reported interest in signing him on a free at the end of the season, including Inter.
The 30-year-old has made 20 appearances across all competitions for the Premier League side, in which he has provided two assists.
