Charles Aranguiz could end up at Inter or Paris Saint Germain at the end of the season according to a report in Argentine newspaper Olé.

The 30-year-old Chilean international midfielder’s contract with German Bundesliga outfit Bayer Leverkusen is due to expire at the end of the season.

Argentine giants Boca Juniors have shown an interest in bringing him in on a free transfer but the report states that Aranguiz, through his representatives, politely declined the advances of the 33-time Argentine champions due to wanting to continue his career in Europe.

Aranguiz is primarily a central midfielder but also capable of playing as a defensive midfielder or out wide and has made 20 appearances across all competitions this season for Die Werkself.

In 1678 minutes on the field, Aranguiz, who came through the ranks at Cobreloa before going on to represent the likes of Colo Colo and Internacional among others, has scored one goal and provided five assists for teammates.
