Arturo Vidal wants to leave Barcelona in January and return to Italy to reunite with former manager Antonio Conte at Inter according to a report from FCInterNews.it.

The Chilean international midfielder has long been unhappy with his playing situation at the Blaugrana, and even spoken publicly about it on many occasions in recent weeks. He considers his time with the Catalan giants to have come to an end and wants out.

Barcelona have made it clear to Vidal’s agent Fernando Felicevich that they will allow his client to depart the club provided that someone stumps up between €15-20 million to sign him permanently. They would also be open to loaning him out so long as there is an obligation to buy attached.

Due to his age, Inter are understood to only want a loan with an option to buy but it could be the case that it could become an obligation if certain criteria are met.

More contact is expected in the coming days as Inter management look to satisfy the needs of Conte, who is understood to have placed a new midfielder right at the top of his January transfer window wish list.
