Diego Godin has not asked for a transfer away from Inter in the upcoming January transfer window according to a report from CalcioMercato.com.

Reports in Spanish media in recent days have suggested that Godin is looking to return to Spain due to having regrets about his move to Inter on a free transfer over the Summer but this report rubbishes those claims.

After going through the standard adaptation process, Godin finds himself very well at Inter and is fully convinced about the club’s project.

The report goes on to claim that the veteran Uruguayan stopper would not entertain an offer from former employers Atletico Madrid if they were to come back in for him.

He considers his future to be with Inter and does not wish to make a return to the Rojiblancos, who he spent nine years with, making close to 400 competitive appearances in the process.
