Atalanta are now pushing for Inter target Dejan Kulusevski to join the Milanese club in January, although both the Nerazzurri and Parma would prefer to wait until next summer, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.
The report details how the Bergamo based club are hoping that the 19-year-old Swede will join Inter in January, in order to secure a notable fee for the player and avoid a transfer market circus. The club have even theorised a triple player exchange on loan in order to secure the deal, with Matteo Politano to join Atalanta, Musa Barrow to join Parma and Kulusevski to join Inter.
Inter, on the other hand, would prefer to wait until next summer, the report highlights. Coach Antonio Conte wants an experienced midfielder in January, in order to continue the fight for the league title. He believes that it would be easier to transition the player into a mezzala in next summer’s training camp, rather than in the middle of the season. Parma, of course, would prefer to wait as well, considering the importance of Kulusevski in their squad.
