Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta was in attendance at last night’s Inter Christmas party for the youth academy players and addressed the circa 800 in attendance at the event.
“It is a source of pride for me to be here with you. We are a big family and it is nice to meet all together on this occasion,” he began.
“I take this opportunity to remind you that for your growth it is important to think not only about football but life in general because to becomes Champions it is essential to respect certain values. Quality on its own is not enough to get to the top, you must always stay on the right track.
“You, the youth academy, are the pride of the club. Your growth is fundamental and you are the future of the Nerazzurri.
“I want to thank all the people who work with you on a daily basis to make you become successful people, not just footballers. Merry Christmas to all of you.”
