Inter coach Antonio Conte is hoping that Barcelona midfielder and transfer target Arturo Vidal will be available for the league clash against Napoli after the winter break, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The report details how the Nerazzurri are keen on the Chilean midfielder and he is keen to join the Milanese club, but the deal has still not been finalised yet. This is because Barcelona don’t want to accept only a dry loan deal and instead would prefer at least a buy option attached, if not an obligation to buy.

Inter CEO Beppe Marotta has a few ideas, however. The report highlights how Marotta is considering offering a high loan fee, or an obligation to buy depending on results or performances by the player, in order to reduce the cost of the overall operation.

Regardless, Conte wants Vidal in time for the league clash against Napoli on the 6th January, the report adds. The negotiations have been going on for a while and Conte is keen for the deal to be finalised as soon as possible.
