Inter’s young Italian central defender Alessandro Bastoni stopped by InterTV moments ago to share his thoughts going into the final Serie A match of 2019, when the Nerazzurri host Genoa at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milano’s San Siro district, with kick-off scheduled for 18.00 CET.

The former Atalanta and Parma player underlined the importance of a win against the Grifoni to end the year in a positive manner.

“It will be so important for us to be able to close 2019 in a good way. We have a a few players missing but that makes no difference, we are only counting on ourselves.”

“Everyone has faith in their own ability. We have to demonstarte meanness both in front of goal but also in defence.”

Alessandro Bastoni signed for Inter in the summer of 2017 but was sent on loan for two seasons at Atalanta and Parma before being brought into the fold ahead of this season.
