Barcelona midfielder Arturo Vidal is Inter’s top target in the upcoming January transfer window and the Spanish club are now open to sending him away, according to a report in today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
The report details how the 32-year-old Chilean midfielder is unhappy at his current role with the Blaugrana, due to the limited playing time he is receiving under coach Ernesto Valverde. He is keen for a move away, with the Nerazzurri an exciting prospect. Barcelona are willing to consider a loan deal, although they are hoping for a buy option to be attached of €20 million, in order to work on their balance sheets ahead of the Financial Fair Play deadline in June.
However, the report highlights, Vidal isn’t looking to force a transfer away, due to his good relationship with the management of the Catalan side. He has asked his agent, Fernando Felicevich, to explore potential options away from Barcelona, but isn’t prepared to fight for a move away just yet. He would prefer Inter to offer something more than a simple dry loan, in order to secure his future, whereas the Milanese club are hoping to secure a dry six month loan deal.
