Inter striker Sebastiano Esposito spoke to Italian broadcaster Sky Sports Italia moments ago, after the Nerazzurri’s 4-0 win over Genoa, where the Italian teenager scored his first goal in the Serie A as well as for the club.

“I just saw my mum and I was moved, the goal is for her. I thank the club and my family who are always close to me. I don’t deny that I didn’t sleep last night, I thought about tonight and I couldn’t have dreamt of a better night. I hope to continue like this.”

The 17-year-old then spoke about the fact that he’s the youngest player in Inter history to score at the San Siro.

“I’m reaping the rewards of my work, remember those sandwiches I ate before training. You should never give up in life. There’s still so much work to be done.”

Finally, Esposito discussed the penalty that was gifted to him by teammate Romelu Lukaku.

“He’s a great guy, as well as being an amazing player. He told me to take the ball and just score goals.”
