Inter and Napoli have already reached an agreement that will see Nerazzurri forward Matteo Politano join Napoli on loan in exchange for Spaniard Fernando Llorente, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Corriere della Sera.

The report details how both Antonio Conte and Gennaro Gattuso have given their consent for the deal, despite the 50-year-old Italian coach suggesting that he knew nothing about a potential deal when speaking after Inter’s 4-0 win over Genoa last night. The two clubs have been in discussions for a few days and it seems certain that the loan swap will take place in January.

Inter have been looking for a backup to striker Romelu Lukaku and the 34-year-old Spaniard Llorente would be the perfect fit. The player is equally as physically strong and has a strong aerial threat, giving Conte more options in the attacking department.

Furthermore, Politano is clearly low on Conte’s pecking order, considering that he started 17-year-old Sebastiano Esposito over the 26-year-old in last night’s win over Genoa.
