Inter may face more difficulty trying to sign Barcelona midfielder Arturo Vidal due to the managements and players’ wishes for him to stay, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The report details how the Chilean midfielder made a gesture yesterday in the Blaugrana’s 4-1 win over Alavés that may suggest that he won’t be departing the Catalan club after all. After his goal in the 45th minute, Vidal looked towards to the fans and pointed his finger to the ground, suggesting that he is staying at the club.

Furthermore, the report continues, despite his poor relationship with coach Ernesto Valverde, both the club’s management and the key players at the club, from Luis Suarez to Lionel Messi, would all prefer the Chilean to stay until the end of the season, rather than leave in January.

Inter know the deal will be tough, the report highlights. Barcelona aren’t keen for a loan deal and instead are asking for €20 million for his signature. Inter are hoping to set up a loan deal with an obligation to buy attached instead, in order to convince the Blaugrana.
