Inter midfielder Roberto Gagliardini discussed the Nerazzurri’s 4-0 win over Genoa last night in an interview with Italian broadcaster SportMediaset.

“That’s what we wanted, we had a great performance from the start. Let’s finish the year with a smile before we start even stronger in the new year. Scudetto? It’s not a question of saying the word, but of staying at the top and playing for it until the end. We have every chance.

“Lukaku’s gesture was a very important. Sebastiano Esposito is a young guy who took full advantage of the opportunity.”

Gagliardini, who is contracted to Inter until 2023, scored a goal and provided an assist in last night’s game, proving to be a key member of the squad that secured a vital three points for the Nerazzurri.

Inter are now top of the league table, tied on points with reigning champions and rivals Juventus. The club’s next game is against Napoli on 6th January.
