Inter midfielder Stefano Sensi expressed his joy at returning to the San Siro and playing in Inter’s 4-0 win over Genoa last night in a post on his Instagram page.

The 24-year-old Italian has struggled to recover from a tear in his abductor muscle, suffered in the Nerazzurri’s 2-1 defeat to Juventus in October, but managed to play 19 minutes in Inter’s win last night. He is expected to return fully after the winter break.

He posted a photo from last night’s game alongside the caption: “A unique feeling. Finally, back on the pitch in the match that ended this year. We deserved first place and now let’s enjoy Christmas, hoping it won’t last too long because the desire to return to the pitch is more and more urgent! Happy holidays to everyone.”
